Product Description
FDT SXO is a floating tool to remove the uneven outline (edge) burr generated in the process of machining
Through the floating mechanism of the tool handle, FDT SXO can move along the uneven edge of the workpiece so that the tool can have 5-10mm edge compensation
The pressure on the workpiece edge can be regulated by the regulating mechanism inside the tool handle.
The tool can be driven directly by the machine tool spindle.
The processing parameters

Speed: 3000-8000rpm (5000rpm is recommended at the beginning)
Feed: 2000-5000mm /min (starting recommendation 3000mm/min)
Maximum float: 5mm (using standard long rotary file) (100mm long rotary file which can reach 10mm when chamfering knife)

With the clamping head of ER 11, the clamping range of tool head handle can be from 0.5mm to 7mm
The overall tool handle is 20mm./HSK,SK or other tool handles can be produced as needed

The feed value must be consistent during processing, otherwise the chamfer size will be inconsistent. Contour programming
Keep the tool as close to the corner as possible to remove the burr.
Lateral pressure
In using floating deburring chamfering knives for the first time we suggest that the lateral pressure is set to 5 mm or so, if can't smooth processing cutting head (such as: cutting head beating or cutting) show that contact pressure is too low, must be increased. The amount of pressure directly affects the thickness of the chamfered deburring.

The maximum depth of the adjusting screw at the end of the tool handle is 10mm (from the external section of the screw to the end section of the tool handle). The initial setting is 5mm.

FDT SXO floating deburring chamfering tool: the radial offset of 5mm can be achieved through spindle drive (standard rotary file or chamfering milling cutter is divided into 20mm for the exposed clamping head). To ensure that all the contours can be processed during the contour program, the cutting head needs to have 1-3mm prepress.

Chamfering usually requires the use of taper chamfering cutting head. You can use the top of the cutting head for processing, or you can use the bottom of the cutting head for processing.
On the premise of workpiece shape and jig allows, we recommend that you try to use the back of the cutting head parts for processing, it can get a better Angle deburring effect and shorter processing time.

Ensure that the tool always has a pre-offset (pre-tightening) of 1-3mm relative to the profile of the workpiece during processing.

Tool processing path:
For floating deburring chamfer cutter, an internal Angle (border) on both sides of a few complex processing, cutting head can't normally contact inside vertical two sides at the same time, because of this process the force created by the two sides at the same time easy to cause imbalance of tool vibration. We recommend adding a tool path where the cutting head (rotary file or chamfering cutter) does not touch both vertical and vertical surfaces at the same time. When close to such an internal Angle, cutting tool levelled up properly, make the taper at the top of the cutting head contact artifacts, such easy access to such an internal Angle cutting head (note: when using cutting the top of the head, processing speed should be reduced.) When machining the vertical inner Angle of the workpiece, it is necessary to finish machining the inner Angle through the arc program.

Excessive chamfer:

Important note
Links to handle: FDT SX0 floating chamfer to outline burr tool is designed according to minimize, as a result of the cutter handle of single thickness too thin, so we suggest using ER handle for blessing, try not to use solid handle blessing side, if you use side is the blessing, please refer to the side of the solid locking screws do not too tight.
About the size of the pre deburring: if the removal of burr is too large, the use of FDT SX0 floating chamfering deburring tools and rotary file can't remove clean, you need to use our tools before you use a rigid chamfer cutter to remove the burr beforehand (procedures need to be returned to the contour outside at a safe distance), and then use our floating handle.
